Complete Setup Process

1

Connect Your Trezor Device

Using the provided USB cable, connect your Trezor to your computer. For Trezor Model T, use a USB-C cable. For Model One, use a Micro-USB cable. Ensure you're using a trusted computer with updated antivirus protection.

Note: Your device will show the Trezor logo upon connection. If it displays any other message, disconnect immediately and contact support.

2

Install Trezor Bridge

Trezor Bridge is the communication software that allows your Trezor device to interact with web browsers. Trezor.io/start® will automatically detect your operating system and provide the correct Bridge installation file.

After installation, restart your browser and refresh the Trezor.io/start® page. The setup wizard should now recognize your connected device.

3

Install Firmware

Your new Trezor device requires the latest firmware for optimal security and functionality. The setup wizard will automatically download and install the current firmware version.

Critical: Do not disconnect your device during firmware installation. This process takes 2-5 minutes and the device will restart automatically when complete.

4

Create Your Wallet

Choose between creating a new wallet or recovering an existing one. For new users, select "Create new wallet." The device will generate your unique recovery seed - the most important security element.

5

Backup Your Recovery Seed

Your device will display 24 words in sequence. Write these down exactly as shown on the correct positions of your recovery card. Never store this seed digitally or take photos of it.

Security Tip: Store your recovery seed in multiple secure locations, preferably fireproof and waterproof containers. This seed is the only way to recover your funds if your device is lost or damaged.

6

Verify Your Backup

The setup wizard will ask you to confirm random words from your recovery seed. This ensures you've recorded the seed correctly and understand the backup process.

7

Set PIN Protection

Create a PIN code to protect your device from unauthorized physical access. The matrix display on Trezor.io/start® shows where to click on your device's screen.

Remember: There's no "forgot PIN" option. If you lose your PIN, you must recover your wallet using the 24-word seed.
